vail, colorado is beautiful in the summer.
i’ve been to vail once to ski when i was in high school - and it was awesome, don’t get me wrong. but there was something incredible lovely, quiet, and serene about visiting in the summer.
this is a photo of the summit of our hike last thursday afternoon. we are at 12,000 feet here and the view was stunning {i took numerous pictures but somehow, none did the scenery justice}. for a brief, fleeting moment, i wished i lived in the mountains.
